Best Travels in Tanzania 7 Days Wildlife Safari Adventures

Travel to Tanzania during the season from late June to October is the best time to visit. The best time to witness the wildebeest migration within the Serengeti is during June and July. The best time to witness wildebeest calving is between late January and February.

Holidays in Tanzania often include the northern circuit parks of Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire National Parks. Tarangire is the only exception due to its excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year.

Best Time: The best time to visit Tanzania for all holidays is between June and October, during the wildebeest migration in June-July and the calving season in January-February in the Serengeti National Park.

High Season: July through March – parks in the northern circuit get crowded.

Low Season: April and May are the slowest months, though the northern circuit parks still have quite a few visitors.

Best Weather: June to October, when there is little rain.

Worst Weather: The rainy season (March/April) is the peak of the wet weather.

June to October – Dry Season:

1. June and July are the best months to see wildebeest migration.
2. The best time to see wildebeest crossing the river in northern Serengeti is August and September.
3. The animals in the Tanzania Wildlife Safari National Park are easier to identify because they concentrate around waterholes and rivers and there is less vegetation.
4. There are fewer mosquitoes when there is little to no rain, the skies are clear, and most days are sunny.
5. The majority of tourists visit during the season. Apart from the Seronera area within the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, the parks are not crowded.
6. It gets cold in the mornings and at night. For morning game drives in open vehicles during June, July, and August, you should wear warm clothing.

November to May – Wet Season:

1. The southern Serengeti calving season occurs from late January to February, which is also a good time to observe predator activity.
2. The scenery is green and beautiful; it’s low season, meaning lower rates and fewer crowds.
3. During a Wildlife Safari in Tanzania, it is easier to identify animals by their season. Most northern circuit parks offer good wildlife viewing year-round and you will still see plenty of animals.
4. Bird watching is at its best as you will see many migrants from different countries.
5. Except in March, April, and May, rains are mostly short afternoon showers that rarely affect your trip.
6. The wet (rainy) season lasts from March to May.

Travels SERENGETI

Serengeti Park in Tanzania is part of the Serengeti ecosystem of the Mara and Simiyu regions. Over 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebra migrate through it every year, as well as numerous Nile crocodiles. Masai giraffe, waterbuck, impala, warthog, and hippo are plentiful. The Serengeti is also known for its sightings of the big five.

Travels NGORONGORO

Tanzania’s Crater Highlands is located about 180 km west of Arusha in the Ngorongoro Area. The area has a large volcanic caldera. There are Black Rhinos, Buffalo, Hippos, Blue Wildebeest, Grant’s Zebra, Eland, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and Waterbucks to be seen. Giraffes, impalas, topis, oribis, and crocodiles are absent. Cheetahs, East African wild dogs, and leopards are rarely seen.

Travels TARANGIRE

Tarangire National Park takes its name from Lake Tarangire during the dry season when thousands of animals from the surrounding wet-season and calving areas concentrate in the park. Elephants and baobab trees are prominent features of the park. During the dry season, from June to November, visitors can expect to see large herds of zebra, wildebeest, and cape buffalo.

The park is home to waterbuck, giraffe, dik-dik, impala, eland, Grant’s gazelle, lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog. With more than 550 bird species, Tarangire National Park is a haven for bird enthusiasts.

Travels LAKE MANYARA

Lake Manyara National Park is located between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley. There are thousands of flamingos that feed along the edge of the lake during the wet season. Thousands of Pink-backed pelicans and yellow-billed storks breed in the park.

You see myriads of Wildebeest, Zebra, Thomson’s Gazelle, and Grant’s Gazelle, Impala, Cape Buffalo, Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Baboon, Warthog, and African Bush Elephant, Lion, Leopard, African wild cat, spotted hyena, black-backed jackal, bat-eared fox, etc. Cheetah and African golden cat are sighted occasionally.

Day 1: Arrival

We will pick you up from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Hotel in Kilimanjaro overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park.

You will drive towards the Tarangire national park with a picnic lunch. afternoon Game Drive of Tarangire park. Overnight at  Fanaka Lodge, Haven Nature, Eco Boma Camp, Crater Rim View, African Sunrise Lodge, and Campsite, Fig Tree Lodge Camp

Day 3: Lake Manyara – Serengeti park

After Breakfast, you’ll drive towards Serengeti Lodge/ Camp with Picnic Lunches with en-route Game Drive of Serengeti park. Dinner and Overnight at Serengeti Heritage, Serengeti Safari Lodge, Serengeti Wild Camp, Serengeti Wildebeest Camp.

Day 4: Serengeti park – Ngorongoro National park

After Breakfast, you’ll drive towards Ngorongoro with a picnic lunch. En-route Game Drive of Serengeti park.

Toward Manyara, Karatu passing Ngorongoro Crater and stay overnight at Fanaka Lodge, Haven Nature, Eco Boma Camp, Crater Rim View, African Sunrise Lodge, and Campsite, Fig Tree Lodge Camp

Day 5:Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara park

Wake up to eat breakfast at your campsite and leave EARLY (the driver will confirm the night before, and this may be your early morning). you’ll head to Ngorongoro Crater for a fantastic game drive within the world’s largest unbroken calderas. Lunch boxes are going to be eating INSIDE the crater. Late afternoon you’ll drive an en-route Game to repel to Fanaka Lodge Safari.

Day 6: Lake Manyara park – Arusha / Moshi Kilimanjaro

You will drive towards Lake Manyara park with a picnic lunch, afternoon Game drives of Lake Manyara Park.
We will repel to Kili Meru lodge, shortly from Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Day 7: Departure

Pick up from the hotel and transfer to KIA to mention bye and welcome again.
