Trekking Kilimanjaro 6 Days Rongai Route the range’s ascent profile might be considerably like that of Marangu. Its miles considered one of Kilimanjaro’s easy routes compere to other routes. The climb to the highest is sluggish and constant. However, in contrast to Marangu, this path has low crowds and passes via remote wasteland areas

The Rongai route ascends Kilimanjaro from the north-eastern side of the mountain, along the border between Tanzania and Kenya. This route retains a way of unspoiled wilderness and offers a special perspective on Kilimanjaro by approaching it from the north.

Trekking

Trekking Kilimanjaro 6 Days Rongai Route is additionally referred to as the Nalemuru route. Although the scenery isn’t as varied because of the western routes, Rongai makes up for this by passing through true wilderness areas for days before joining the Marangu route at Kibo camp.

Rongai may be a moderately difficult route and is very recommended, especially for those with less backpacking experience. There are different options to finish the climb in 5, 6, or 7 days.

The seven days include each day of acclimatization at Mawenzi Tarn and this is often a crucial addition because the flatter terrain means you cannot ‘climb high, sleep low’ which may be a good approach to acclimatization.

This extra day helps tons and means the summit success rate on this route is sort of high at over 80%. A six-day itinerary without the acclimatization day lowers the summit success rate to about 65% and it’s far more likely to urge hypoxia.

The route is quieter and flatter, and arguably has less scenic quality than other routes on the side. However, walking across the open plain with the summit massif in sight all the time gives a true sense of vastness to the mountain.

It’s drier due to the very fact that the mountain itself stops the rain clouds arising from the south, so it’s really very different experience in terms of scenery and terrain.

For many, the solitude and sense of space may be a big draw, although you do not get to experience all the various habitats which are evident on the side routes like Machame and Lemosho.
