The Machame Route is approximately 62 km/ 37 miles from gate to gate. it’s designed for physically fit people with some hiking experience, but many first-time trekker use the route also and do exactly fine. it’s rated together of Kilimanjaro’s better routes and thus is suggested

  1. Day 1 Arrival transfers from KIA-Hotel

    We will pick you up from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Hotel in Kilimanjaro for overnight

  2. Day 2 Rest Day

    We recommend at least one rest day before starting your trek and try to sleep because of different time zones, our guide he will give the briefing and check your trekking gears to make sure you have everything needed.

  3. Day 3 Drive to Kilimanjaro Park Machame Gate, Hike to Machame Camp

    Drive from Moshi to Machame Gate takes about 45 minutes. The journey passes through the village of Machame which is found on the lower slopes of the mountain.

    We depart the park gate and rehearse the rain forest on a winding trail up a ridge. At lower elevations, the trail are often muddy and slippery. Gaiters and trekking poles are an honest idea here. We continue a quick distance until we reach the Machame Camp.

  4. Day 4 Machame Camp to Shira Camp

    After breakfast we leave the glades of the rain forest and continue on an ascending path, crossing the valley along a steep rocky ridge. The route now turns west onto a river gorge until we reach the Shira campsite.

    Distance: 5km/3mi
    Walking Time: 4-5 hours
    Habitat: Moorland

  5. Day 5 Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

    Shira Plateau we still the east up a ridge, passing the junction towards the peak of Kibo. As we continue, our direction changes to the South East towards the Lava Tower, called the ”Shark’s Tooth” (elevation 4650m/15,250ft). Shortly after the tower, we come to the second junction which matches to the Arrow Glacier. We now continue right right down to the Barranco Camp. Although you finish the day around the same elevation as once you began, today is extremely important for acclimatization and may help your body steel oneself against summit day.

  6. Day 6 Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

    After breakfast, we leave Barranco and continue on a steep ridge up to the Barranco Wall (elevation 4250m/13,900ft), through the Karanga Valley (elevation 4050m/13,250ft) to the junction which connects with the Mweka Trail. We continue up to the Barafu Camp. you’ve completed the South Circuit, which offers views of the summit from many different angles. Here we make camp with views of the summit within the space .

  7. Day 7 Barafu Camp to Summit, right right down to Mweka Camp

    Very early within the morning (midnight to 2 am), we continue our because of the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. You head during a northwesterly direction and ascend through heavy scree towards Stella Point on the crater rim. this is often often the foremost mentally and physically challenging portion of the trek. At Stella Point, you’ll stop for a quick rest and may be rewarded with the foremost magnificent sunrise you’re ever likely to determine . Faster hikers may view the sunrise from the summit.

  8. Day 8 Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate then drive to Moshi

    After breakfast, we continue descending right right down to the Mweka Park Gate to receive your summit certificates. At lower elevations, it are often wet and muddy. Gaiters and trekking poles will help. Shorts and T-shirts will probably be plenty to wear (keep rain gear and warmer clothing handy).
    East Africa Travel Company vehicle are getting to expect you at the Mweka gate to drive you back to your hotel in Moshi (about 30 minutes).

Truly a fantastic tour. We thoroughly enjoyed every step of this tour and the final bungee Jumping was an adventure I don’t think I would ever able to forget, I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who loves adventure.

You have to be crazy about adventure tours to build a theme that displays the tours so elegantly that a person browsing the tours on site literally falls in love with place even before booking the tour.
